This costume was a good price; however, the "gauze" style shirt was aweful. I ended up buying something else last minute. So much for the general sizing. I am 5'9" and 135 lbs. I generally wear a small to medium. This shirt was so small it would fit a child. The elastic was super tight. In addition, the vest was so cheaply made I threw it away after one wearing. It barely held up for the occassion. The skirt, however, was comfortable and fit well. I realize it is just a costume, but nothing like being uncomfortable all night at a fun party. I would not recommend this costume.
Flimsy material, won't last longSep 01, 2011

It looks very cute in the picture and not half bad when you have it on, but the material is awful - the corset/bustier is made out of this foam with fabric glued to it so it can't be stretched or tightened at all or you'll rip it. You'll probably actually rip it by just wearing it for a few hours anyway. :) The fabric is coming off the foam on the "suspender" straps already actually and you can see the foam underneath and I just carefully tried it on. I also thought the skirt (made out of an expectedly thin but comfortable polyester fabric) was messed up during sewing because the red shiny "apron" doesn't go all the way around and has a hole where it's detached for about 6 inches from the under-layer fabric, leaving a bottomless pocket of sorts at your waist on the right side. But from careful study of the picture on the packaging, it seems this is supposed to be there, maybe to give it a disheveled look? Who knows, I'm not a fan. The only decent piece of the whole ensemble is the white blouse which fits well and is relatively comfortable. I'm guessing I'll wear one of my own skirts and potentially get a different corset to go with the blouse, because returning it would cost me a restocking fee as well as more shipping, so it's not worth it. For $40 + $8 shipping, I expected better. Wish I would have spent more on a better costume. Oh and the hat seemed a bit small (tight elastic) for my average-sized hat, but I wasn't planning on wearing it anyway.

This costume looks very frumpy. Also, the top part is very short, so unless you have a mini sized torso it will probably not fit right.
