3 Year Columbia CosplayerSep 01, 2011
By Larissa I was really unsure about buying this costume after reading the reviews but I've been cosplaying Columbia for 3 years now at Rocky Horror showings. So, I figured, why not buy the Halloween costume and see what it's like? And, well... I LOVE it! Is it perfect? Well, of course not. It's a $40 Halloween costume not a $1,000 remake of Little Nell's original. I have no problem with the hat. Took it out of the bag, stood it up and put it on. Fits great and stands up wonderfully. Only thing is, it doesn't have the black strip around the bottom of it but I can get more ribbon and add that. The coat isn't lined so it's itchy but it has a tail and it's pretty. The tub top is comfy but a bit short (probably doesn't help I have bigger boobs) which is fine because I'm also 5'5 so I can pull the shorts up a bit because they're a bit long. Worst part was the "bow tie". It's a rectangle, not an actual tie, with a red thing wrapped loosely around the center and white stretchy string hooked to the back of that... First of all, the stretchy thing should have been black, not white. Secondly, the red thing wrapped around the rectangle was too loose so it didn't do much. I removed it and wrapped black ribbon tight around the center and strung black ribbon threw the back of that to tie it aroud my neck and I had a perfect bow tie! A quick 5min fix! Also, the stitching on some of the costume is a bit off but that was also easily fixed with scissors and super glue! All and all, if you're a Rocky Horror fan and you realize this is a Halloween costume and not HER actual costume, you'll more than likely love it. Just be armed with black ribbon, super glue and scissors. :-)

PIECE OF CRAPDec 19, 2010

When I got this I expected at least a half decent item.
The coat was made of cheap ass material that you could see through that had gold sticker things on it. Not ever real sequins. It didn't have a lining, the tails were cut unevenly and weren't even long enough to be considered tails.
The Hat came as a wadded up piece of stuff that I couldn't get to straighten out and it didn't have anything to help hold its shape either!
The top was just a rainbow fabric no sparkle at all and the pants stripes were a stretchy spandex material and the stripes weren't even vertical. They were also pastel stripes not the bright vivid colors you would expect.
WASTE OF MONEY! They only goo thing was I got a refund without too much hassle but it still took over a week and they were badgering me to just order something else. Like that was ever going to happen!

Columbia Costume: Stock Photo is MisleadingNov 02, 2008
By S. Salinas First, let me start off by saying that the costume did fit perfectly. The size medium fit my women's size 8 hiney just fine. Now, let me tell you what disappointed me about this costume. The stock photo of the costume is the actual photo on the front of the bag. Bag? That's right. That nifty little hat she has on comes out of a bag which means it is foamy and not at all "stand up." I did not even mess with it. The other misleading item shown in the stock photo is the shorts. If you look closely, you can see the stitches on the ribbons in the photo. Much to my dismay, the shorts are a very lightweight polyester material that just has the stripes printed onto them. The jacket is unlined which means it is a little itchy. The tube top is short- no tall people should order this costume. I am 5'3" and I had to hike those shorts way up to make ends meet. This cheaply made costume is not worth the price I paid for it. This is the last time I buy a halloween costume without first having seen it myself. BUT, I did get a lot of compliments based on the fact that I was Columbia. Also, I wore my own dog collar instead of that clownish bow tie.

Rocky Horror Picture Show-ColumbiaNov 12, 2011
By Mindy The costume could not have been more poor quality. It was cut, thin fabric with no seems or hem. It looked SO cheap. I am aggravated that it cost me 8 dollars to ship it to my home and 8 to ship it back. 16 dollars I should be credited, I feel, since the product was such poor quality. I realize that a prepackaged costume would not be like one sewn for the individual, but even the hat and bow tie looked like they were purchased at the dollar store, and this costume was 40 dollars. DO NOT BUY this item! I would give this product zero stars if the computer would allow it!

I think that this costume only comes in sizes up to L, as I ordered XL twice, and recieved a L each time. So, if you've got a larger chest, you will want to be aware that it is a tube top, and is not necessarily large enough for both boobs and body. But putting a tank top underneath was an acceptable fix. it is adorable, and decently made for the price.
