It's really a great prop, with an adjustable band to fit all. But when it arrived it was squished into shallow box. Luckily we had a steamer to try and get out the creases because it was for a play and didn't have time to do a return.

This is a cheap China made polyester pith helmet. It is not worth the price. It looks very cheap. I will not buy from elope again

There is a reason the model looks so sad; the pith helmet in the photo only looks like a properly made one. The item I received is a cheap Halloween prop of foam construction. It is obviously not the item pictured here. The picture is photo shopped to make the brown felt strap look like leather, hide the stitching around the edge and make the head band look fuller. It looks good from a distance but within a few yards it's obvious that it's a cheap costume piece.

Very light to wear. Also takes up dye very nicely for example spray upholstery paint (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DCTF8C/), which the material sucks up and distributes evenly.

"Shoe lover"
I should have read the reviews and known this was too good to be true. The only thing the discription said about this that was true was the faux leather strap and the adjustable headband. I sent it back it was so bad, it wasn't worth keeping.
