We bought this hat for our son who is 8 years old. He needed it for a project at school to dress like a character in a book about James Madison. The hat fits fine. It is plain and simple. Was just what we were looking for.

I bought three of these hats in anticipation of a trip to Colonial Williamsburg. I did it for much the same reason you buy Disney souveniers prior to your trip to Disney World - so when the kids are clamoring for some brand-name thing, you whip out this generic replica which is only a fraction of the cost! This hat more than met our expectations, especially at the low price. The kids were happy, especially the boys (ages 7 and 4). They were also surprisingly durable. The only thing I would have preferred is an elastic strap rather than a tie strap but at least the strap was long and easy to tie.
 Not purchased as a toy but as part of a costume for a school assembly.Jan 04, 2012

I purchased this has as part of a costume for a 5th grade school assembly. My grandson had to be dressed as John Adams, and this hat was just what we needed. He loved wearing it. I searched ebay and amazon and the price of this hat was the most reasonable. Thanks.

I just bought this for our 9 year old, he has a colonial project at school. We also bought a George Washington wig and this hat fits just fine over the wig. It is exactly as it appears in the picture.
