It IS Fun, for kids who are interested...Nov 16, 2008
By T. Jenanian ...I have played this game with some kids and they think it's dull. Each player has to climb up a certain path up the mountain and the path has different spots; there is guide for each path and something written for each spot you land on -maybe you gt in an avalanche and you ahve to move back 2 spots unless you have a certain survival card. (You have to keep a consistince of different survival cards that you can exchange at each turn.) Or maybe you move forward with a certain card, or you can trade cards with a player, or you land on a safe spot. THere are also little holes in the mountain that each players piece (of a climber) climbs up, which is kind of cool
It IS very interesting. If your child has an interest in survival or mountains, or likes interesting games it IS a good buy. It is also a game that older kids and teenagers may be more interested, as it is somewhat detailed.
QUALITY: -The little piece that is supposed to stick on the top of the mountain for the player's piece to stand in when it wins does not stay up very well. -The mountain you have to put toghether -it velcroes. It actually stays up pretty well, and is not at all flimsy. NOTE -it DOES take a few minutes to put toghether though. -Pieces seem to stay up on "board" pretty well on most paths.
Couldn't take more than 10 minutes of game.Apr 25, 2010
By Jennifer My son received this game for his 9th birthday (I think it was a re-gift : ) After setting game up-took a good 20 minutes, I read directions-another 20 minutes, and we started playing. My son seemed to be enjoying it, however, after about 10 minutes into game, I had to stop. We were literally going back and forth between 4 spaces for 10 minutes. The game only allows either 1 or 2 spot jumps per spin. To get to the top of Mount Everest, you need to move roughly 26 spaces. Each spot requires a skill or challenge card, which usually sets you back. As you can see, this game is extremely repetitive and boring, at least for me. I told my son he could play it again with his father-let him suffer : )
Can u make it to the top?Feb 06, 2010
By Camo Camper Was given as a Christmas gift. Is good for older children. A little confusing so you have to read the instructions carefully. Overall a fun game for mountain lovers
