Best optionFeb 24, 2008
By Sahne I have bought this camera under the National Geographic trademark but it is exactly the same. I compared all the other kid cameras and found this one to have the best value for the money. I was surprised to see that Fisher Price and VTech as well as Crayola are selling Digital Cameras for little kids for $40-70 with little storage, little resolution - while you can pick up a cheap small camera for next to nothing. My daughter has developmental delays so a camera that has a good grip was important. This one does fine - would have loved the Fisher Price shape though. As for the possibilities: You can do everything with this camera that you can do with an adult camera. At 1.3 pixels the quality is good, time lapse and night vision function helped us figure out that our dog is climbing on our newly purchased couch after we have gone to bed. Everything is simple , yet functional. I got this camera at a supersale and therefore got a really good deal. I would definately recommend if you can get it at a deal - that's the only bad thing: The price.

Not worth themoneyJan 02, 2008

Originally i reviewed this product and gave it a good rating but after having it for a few weeks, it eats up the batteries so much that I can't keep up. Not worth the money at all, 50 bucks is not a deal when every week you are turning around and buying new batteries. The sad part is , when I realized that it seemed to be out of batteries, I was actually able to use the old batteries in my tv remote control. The camera seems to only operate on very new batteries. Not happy at all with this purchase.

Not so greatSep 02, 2008
By Amy Scheer From reading the other reviews, I thought this would be the camera to buy for my 8-year-old son, who loves playing with and dropping our $80 Canon. It's a bit of a disappointment for us, though. The screen on the back (a bonus, as they're not always found on kids' cameras) makes all pictures look like snowcapped mountains, for one; also, unless the lighting is exactly and precisely right, they don't look so hot in final form, either. My son is really thrilled about the fact that he can strap the camera to a tree with the provided belt, but that's not reason enough to make me happy about this purchase.
I'll add that if this camera were a kids' first exposure to digital cameras, it might be just fine and perfect. But considering that our son had figured out our Canon before we can, this was a let down.

Not worth the moneyFeb 11, 2010
By J. Tyre We got this camera for our son who loves to take pictures. However, after we got it and he tried to take a few pictures the pictures were grainy and you could not see them. Then the camera got stuck on one picture and you could not move forward or shut the camera off. I would not spend my money on this camera.

Not worth a dimeFeb 06, 2010
By Jean Marc Bourreau The quality of the pictures taken is so bad that it is pratically useless even for a young kid. Buttons are small and fragile. Use of the camera is not nearly as intuitive as it should. Very dispapointing product.
