Purchased several of these for gifts, both shipments have been a disappointment !! Each time I received items that where not as described in ad. There is no "Domed Underwater City", no "Alien Light" from the Flying Saucer cap (it looks like it could be equipped to handle if it was made that way), also there was no "Telescope" included. I contacted "Uncle Milton" concerning this and I was told that this item has not been sold by them for years, also that there were TWO models. The first one having NONE of the items included that I've mentioned above, and then a second model was issued with all the above items included. But both versions have been out of production for years.
Amazon has been great though handling returns and refunds.

We have had ours 2 Fish in Space aquariums for 2 months now and love them. Each has a Betta fish. My kids want to get one as a birthday gift for one of their friends. It's a great way to introduce kids to responsibility for pets. I've only had to clean the tanks out once so far. I bought a separate baster to periodically take out a little water and replace it with fresh water to keep the tank oxygenated. This keeps me from having to totally clean out the tanks. My kids love the aquariums and the fish.

This tank is not good for goldfish!! We have gone through 2 and they both died gasping for oxygen within 2 days. This tank does not provide enough surface area for the fish to get oxygen. We learned the hard way. Plus, it was hard explaing to our 4yr old.

Ok This toy fish tank must be a joke right? The dome light space cap does not glow, or stay on without tape over the top..The telescope is not a telescope its just a piece of plastic that resembles one, it doesnt even have a plastic lens....The "space rocks" dont even sink to the bottom. The only educational value kids learn is that ads on a box can lie and lying only hurts others, hence his dissapointment in not having a real little telescope. I only got mine for 5 bucks but seriously, don't even bother with this unless its a gag gift or something.

I ordered this for my 4 year old's birthday. He was so excited to see the spaceship glow and make the tank look like it was really in space. However, the spaceship does not really light up, nothing really glows, there is no telescope. He still thinks it is a cool design so we are keeping it. If I had spent more than $11 I would have been returning it.
