Cheap and ridiculous - perfect for St. Patty's PartyingApr 19, 2012

I bought a dozen of these for a group of friends running in a St. Patty's day Warrior Dash. If you're not familiar, Warrior Dash is 5k race including about a dozen obstacles (cargo nets, wall climbs, pole slides, balancing, flaming logs, etc) and lots of mud and mess. Through the abuse of the course, the hats stayed in one piece and looking pretty ridiculous/awesome. Big hit and got lots of compliments. The material is velvety and floppy, and they come compressed in the package, but we found that just taking the plastic bag they come in and stuffing in the hat worked perfectly. The strap is thin and clearish - kind of silicone-esque material, so great for not picking up mud and for making the hat appear to just be attached to your head on it's own. A great price and Prime eligible, so a great buy!
