not exactly what I was expectingAug 20, 2010

though these sandals might be 'right priced' for what they were, they were not wat I was hoping to find. what I was looking for was leather sandals that were widely available in the 70's and referred to as Water Buffalo's - I believe because they were made from water buffalo hide. when new, they were very stiff, but you could soak them in water, then put them on and they would mold to your foot. as they aged, they were soft and comforthable. The Hippie sandal were stiff, but had a rubber sole and leather straps were very thin. was afraid to wet them. did not fit my foot too well either, but I am hard to fit the Hippie Sandal would be fine for a Hippie Costume
