Beautiful CostumeDec 01, 2009 I found this costume on Amazon while looking for a Halloween costume for my daughter. I thought it was too good to be true. I was pleasantly surprised when it came in the mail. It is a beautiful costume that my daughter loves. It has even survived the washing machine.
Beautiful BUT Not Comfy for 16-month oldNov 06, 2009 My 16-month old looked adorable in this costume. She would not keep the headpiece on, however, and she pulled the flowers at the waist off of the dress. I don't think she liked the wings, either, but she did keep them on for us. The hole for the head is small but it was big enough, thankfully, for her in the size 1-2. Overall, however, I think I got a little too ambitious this Halloween. It is a big (hard but not impossible to buckle the car seat) flouncy dress; the skirt required adjusting very often, and it probably was not that comfy (outer skirt layers are scratchy). If you have a sedate or maybe older child who would appreciate looking like a butterfly angel, then go for it!!
cute costumeNov 02, 2009 This costume is very pretty but I couldn't get my 20 month old to wear it. I had to cut the top of the dress in the neck hole to get it over her head. I think if it had a zipper or buttons in the back of the dress that she could just step into the dress and pull it up she wouldn't have been so against it. I was able to get it on her once for about 5 minutes but she was pulling at the wings. Hopefully other people don't have this problem b/c it is an adorable costume.
Beautiful costumeOct 14, 2009 This is a great costume for the price. It looks like it was much more expensive than it really was.
NOT as pictured!Oct 03, 2009 I have never reviewed an item. However this time I had to warn other mothers who think that this costume is as cute as pictured. The wings are not that big and they are completely different shape and design. The side that shows from the front is just the nylon back - no pattern. The crown is tiny with little flowers which do not go around the entire head (the flowers that is). The worst though is the quality of the dress. The underskirt feels like plastic shower curtain. Heck, my fabric shower curtain feels better than the material they used for the lining. It's worse than the 1970s polyester material. I'm so disappointed. I read the other reviews and really thought I was making a good choice. I don't know if they changed the manufacturer, but trust me - if you are going to spend $35 dollars on a toddler costume (cost + shipping), spend it on one that isn't plastic or just go to Target and spend less.
